The Wedding Rings
The ring was originally a symbol of authority, dignity, and social status (James 2:2). In Christianity it is a symbol of an unending commitment to the marriage relationship, wedding rings are a beautiful reminder of the marriage covenant and, by extension, the covenant of Christ with his bride — the redeemed for whom he died

Coronavirus Lockdown and Government Restrictions

Should” :: “Where the guidance states that an activity should take place this is not a legal requirement under the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020”

Face coverings
“In England, face coverings are currently required by law to be worn in shops, supermarkets, indoor transport hubs, indoor shopping centres, banks, building societies, post offices and on public transport. From 8 August, face coverings are also required by law to be worn in a greater number of public indoor settings including places of worship, museums, galleries, cinemas and public libraries.
There are valid exemptions for some individuals and groups to not wear a face covering in these settings. In particular, those who are leading services or events in a place of worship, and those who assist them (for instance by reading, preaching, or leading prayer) do not always need to wear a face covering...”

The latest Cabinet office guidance FAQs state the following (Read more about what you can and can’t do)

1.3 What should I still avoid doing?

It is against the law for gatherings of more than **30 people** to take place in private homes (including gardens and other outdoor spaces).

2.8 Can weddings go ahead?

“Yes, weddings and civil partnerships will be allowed to take place. You should only invite close friends and family, up to a maximum of 30 people.where this can be safely accommodated with social distancing in place.”

Thu 13-Aug-2020: Government restrictions postponing the increase in the number of people able to attend wedding receptions from 6 to 30 people were lifted with effect from 15th August: -

New!“From 15 August 2020 guidance that receptions and other celebrations for weddings and civil partnerships should not take place will no longer apply. Receptions and celebrations may take place in the form of a sit-down meal, but only where they can be done in a COVID-19 secure environment/venue, and we advise there should be no more than 30 people attending.”
