The above picture shows a close-up of the Kilmartin standing stones and the cottage (left) through a mask drawn freehand using 70 pixels feathering.

The above picture shows a close-up of the Kilmartin standing stones (notice the car on the road) through an oval mask which has been skewed and adjusted freehand using 70 pixels feathering.
All images were originally scanned and worked on at 600 dpi using Adobe Photoshop 5.5 on a G3 Macintosh with MacOS X. Finished images saved as Macintosh TIFFs with LZW compression, and copies for the Web were scaled appropriately and sized to 72 dpi before saving as JPEGs at maximum quality.
