The above picture shows a close-up of the Bark Endeavour through an oval mask using 70 pixels feathering. Compare this with the source image below. Notice how the above image has been enhanced and built up to anable a feathered oval image to be created!

All images were worked on at 600 dpi using Adobe Photoshop 5.5 on a G3 Macintosh with MacOS X. Finished images saved as Macintosh TIFFs with LZW compression, and copies for the Web were scaled appropriately and sized to 72 dpi before saving as JPEGs at maximum or high quality.
